Experimental Design

The Electron Microscopy Unit is located in the Core Research Facility, Room H1710 in the Health Sciences Centre. We are a well-established biological, clinical and research electron microscopy facility.  The unit operates on a fee-for-service basis and is available to internal and external users. 
 
Hours of Operation

Monday through Friday
9:00am - 5:00pm (Fall & Winter)
9:00am-4:30pm (Summer)
 
Equipment, Services, and Fees

The Tecnai Spirit Transmission Electron Microscope for biological science features optical systems specifically designed to deliver high-quality imaging and resolution of biological specimens. The microscope is equipped with a 4-megapixel AMT digital camera.

Cost estimates can be granted upon request.
                  
Scheduling Policies

• Inquiries for TEM work can be directed to staff in person (room H1710) or via email (see below)
• A requisition is required at time of use
• Users are responsible for removing data files at time of acquisition
