13.4 Appeal of Promotion Decisions

An appeal of a promotion decision must be submitted to the Chair of the Committee on听Undergraduate Studies for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Collaborative) Program听within fourteen days of the promotion decision. Appeal submissions shall contain the听following:

• Student name,
• Current address and telephone number,

• Student ID number,
• A copy of the decision giving rise to the appeal,
• A description of the matter under appeal,
• The grounds of appeal,
• Supporting documentation; and
• The resolution being sought.

A student may request additional time to gather supporting documentation. Such a听request will not be unreasonably denied.

For assistance in the appeals process, a student is advised to consult with the Associate听Dean (Undergraduate Studies) or Associate Directors (Center for Nursing Studies,听Western Regional School of Nursing) whose advice shall include the provision of a list of听others within the Faculty and elsewhere in the University who can advise the student听during the appeals process.
