Research:
- In 2020, the World University Service of Canada (WUSC) chapter at MUN hosted Global Refugee Narratives 2020, a symposium aimed at facilitating conversations and tangible solutions to the global refugee discourse through bringing former refugees’ voices to the forefront.
Public Engagement:
- In 2019, Dr. Paul Hart, a MUN medicine alumnus, . His goal was to provide medical care for the more than 13,000 refugees living in deplorable conditions in what has been called the world’s worst refugee camp.
Administration:
- MUN has a local chapter of the World University Services of Canada (WUSC), a non-profit organization dedicated to improving education and employment opportunities for youth. WUSC has a program intended to support refugees during and after their post-secondary education called the Student Refugee Program (SRP).
