Static Theme Deprecation on December 31, 2026
Qualtrics is deprecating static themes. No new static themes can be created and no updates can be made to existing static themes starting on December 31, 2026.

Legacy Results Reports are being retired. To avoid disruptions, you'll need to move to Results Dashboards.
New surveys will automatically default to the New Survey Taking Experience - starting June 3, 2026
What is the change?
Starting on June 3, 2026, all newly created surveys will automatically default to the (NSTE). We are making this change because NSTE is our modernized survey design. It is built to be faster, more mobile-responsive, and highly accessible (WCAG 2.2 AA compliant). Any new features (e.g. new question types, security options) will only be supported on NSTE going forward.
Existing live surveys will not be affected or visually altered. Copying an old survey or importing a QSF file will preserve the original layout and theme settings, meaning a copy of a Legacy survey will remain Legacy.

What is the change?
On October 29, 2025, Qualtrics will be setting a weekly email limit for all Academic brands.
This measure is critical for keeping email deliverability high and protecting against security risks. Since maintaining a good sender score is a shared responsibility, please refer to this for guidance on how to improve your sender reputation.
