Static Theme Deprecation on December 31, 2026

Hello,
Qualtrics is deprecating static themes. No new static themes can be created and no updates can be made to existing static themes starting on December 31, 2026.
What’s changing?
Dynamic themes are the modern replacement for static themes. Dynamic themes can be edited at any time, automatically inherit fixes and enhancements, and are accessibility-ready. They provide the same level of brand customization while maintaining full support for both the new survey-taking experience and legacy survey-taking environments.
Beginning December 31, 2026:

You will no longer be able to create new static themes.

You will no longer be able to edit existing static themes.

Dynamic themes will be the only option for creating or updating themes.

Existing static themes will continue to work but will become read-only.
In 2027, we plan to remove static themes from the Look and Feel editor. The exact date in 2027 is yet to be determined, and we will reach out before this change is made.

What do I need to do?

Submit a request through your Customer Success Hub.
