Department of Biochemistry Guest Researcher Talk 1pm Room ED-1014, G.A. Hickman (Education) Building. Dr. Catherine Field, a professor with the University of Alberta's Faculty of Agriculture, Life and Environmental Science, will deliver a special research talk entitled Evidence for the use of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) in the treatment of breast cancer. 830am-4pm Fisherman's Landing Inn, Rocky Harbour. Day 2 of three-day symposium. Day 3 of symposium (on Friday, May 18) also taking place at the Fisherman's Landing Inn in Rocky Harbour. .


10am-noon Nexus Centre, Room SN-4022, Science Building, St. John's Campus. A presentation by Victoria Kavanagh and Weyam Fahmy, graduate students of Psychology department, Faculty of Science. They will lead a discussion related to sleep and its cognitive impacts.

Music event 11am-noon D. F. Cook Recital Hall, School of Music. Attendees are invited to be on stage, for an up close and personal experience. Program includes: Duo Concertante (performance); Dr. Christine Carter (performance); and Dr. Andrew Staniland's new JADE project (brain waves to sound! show and tell/demonstration.
