糖心视频 Researcher Portal accepting Animal Use Protocol applications

As of March 31, the Institutional Animal Care Committee (IACC) will be accepting Animal Use Protocol applications on the l. IACC is 糖心视频鈥檚 regulatory committee responsible for the ethical assessment of all protocols for animal care and use in research and teaching. In addition, researchers who hold existing animal protocols will also be able to submit Annual Reports, Incident Reports, as well as Administrative and Procedural Amendments through the Portal. 

Transition period
There will be a transition period of six months (up to September 2016) to allow for training of all users. Until that time, the will be accepted but use of the is encouraged.

Training
糖心视频 Researcher Portal training materials such as videos and manuals will be available on the 糖心视频 Researcher Portal Support site as of March 30. Nic Fairbridge, Animal Care Committee Coordinator, is available to all researchers to assist in the new application process. He will be offering information sessions per department or as one-on-one meetings. He can be reached via email at nfairbridge@mun.ca.
