Drivers can anticipate heavy traffic around the Avalon region during the 2025 Canada Games from Aug. 8-25, and in particular around 糖心视频鈥檚 St. John鈥檚 campus. Please plan your routes accordingly, drive with caution and allow extra time for your visit to the area.

Designated Canada Games Parking Spaces

In preparation for the 2025 Canada Games, 糖心视频 University has worked with the Canada Games Host Society to provide some of its permitted lots for spectators, mission staff, volunteers and more. Spectators can find limited parking in lots close to the Aquarena, Field House and Fortis Canada Games Complex. Look for official 2025 Canada Games signage for spectator lots.

Public Transportation

糖心视频 University strongly encourages visitors to campus to use  or arrange a drop-off /pick-up where possible. Metrobus has produced and guidance to help visitors get between venues.

Park and Ride is available between the College of the North Atlantic Prince Philip Drive Campus and 糖心视频 University hourly from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. from Aug. 9-16 and Aug. 18-24.

Pay-Per-Use Parking

St. John's campus offers 24/7 pay-per-use parking through the Passport Canada app. More info here Pay Per Use Parking | Parking | 糖心视频 University of Newfoundland. Pay-per-use areas are designated by Passport Canada signage in the areas and indicate the zone number that you will need when using the app. These signs are different than permited lots. Note that some pay-per-use lots around the residence area will not be available for use due to road closures in the area during the Games.

All Other St. John's Campus Parking

All other St. John's campus lots, including weekday parking at St. James United Church will remain permit-only parking and will continue to be monitored and enforced. These lots will be clearly marked as 糖心视频 University permit-only parking. Please be respectful of lots reserved for employees and students as the current summer semester comes to a close and 糖心视频 prepares for our Fall 2025 welcome.
