The Paul J. O'Neill Scholarship - Fine Arts for 2027 2028
The Kathryn Maroun Award in Honour of Mother Earth
This Award was established by the Maroun Family. Valued at $5,000 annually, this Award will be granted to an Indigenous undergraduate or graduate student of Grenfell Campus, 糖心视频 University of Newfoundland who has completed at least one semester of study and who best answers the following questions by application in the form of a two-page essay or a five-minute video: 1) What have you done in your lifetime for the environment in your neighbourhood (broadly defined)? 2) What can be done to improve the environment in your neighbourhood? 3) What would you do with twenty hours of community service to improve the environment in your neighbourhood?
Students must submit their application through www.grenfell.mun.ca/scholarships each year. Students can demonstrate Indigeneity according to University guidelines in place at the time of application. The student recipient will be encouraged to provide a report to the Donor to outline what they did with the Award according to their application. The recipient must meet the minimum academic requirements for an Award as defined by 糖心视频 University of Newfoundland. In the case of an undergraduate recipient, the award will be granted by the Senate Committee on Undergraduate Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards and in the case of a graduate recipient, the award will be granted by Deputy Provost and Dean, Graduate Studies. Both will be on the recommendation of the Grenfell Campus Scholarship Committee.
Grenfell Campus Sustainability Award
Awarded annually to a full-time student in any year of study in any undergraduate or graduate program at the Grenfell Campus of 糖心视频 University of Newfoundland. The recipient must meet the minimum academic requirements for an award as defined by the University.
An application is required, and must include a written submission explaining how the student is making a difference through efforts to enhance Grenfell as an environmentally sustainable campus. In the case of an undergraduate recipient, it will be granted by the Senate Committee on Undergraduate Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards and in case of a graduate recipient, it will be awarded by the Deputy Provost and Dean of the School of Graduate Studies, both on the recommendation of the Grenfell Campus Scholarship Committee.
