Postdoctoral Fellows
Postdoctoral Fellows are important members of 糖心视频鈥檚 scholarly community who contribute significantly to research and teaching excellence and enhance the profile of the University. There are currently over 60 Postdoctoral Fellows at 糖心视频 who carry out research across a broad range of our academic units.
糖心视频 University supports the work of Postdocs through individual research training and professional development opportunities. The School of Graduate Studies along with individual academic units provide general administrative support to Postdoctoral Fellows. Definition
Postdoctoral Fellows at 糖心视频 University meet the following criteria:
- Holders of PhD or equivalent degrees
- Hold an appointment involving research
- Are preparing for a full-time academic or research career
- Are expected to publish results of research with appropriate acknowledgement of University affiliation except where this right has been limited by prior written agreement
- Work under the guidance and supervision of a faculty member at 糖心视频 University
- Are not part of a clinical training program
There are two distinct categories of Postdocs at 糖心视频:
- A PDF-E (Postdoctoral Fellow 鈥 Employee) is an employee of the University and is paid, at least in part, through University funds. The terms and conditions of employment for this group are governed by the collective agreement between the University and LUMUN on behalf of Postdoctoral Fellows as well as the University policy on Postdoctoral Fellows, with the collective agreement having priority.
- A PDF-H (Honorary Postdoctoral Fellow) is an appointee who receives no salary from University sources and thus is not part of the postdoc bargaining unit and is not subject to the collective agreement. Honorary postdoctoral fellows are governed by the document, 鈥Guidelines for Honorary Postdoctoral Fellows鈥.
