The Margaret D. McLean Doctoral Entrance Scholarship

Awarded annually to a student who will be enrolled in a full-time doctoral program in the Faculty of Nursing. Preference will be given to a graduate of a Bachelor of Nursing Program of 糖心视频 University. The recipient must meet the minimum academic requirements for a scholarship as defined by 糖心视频 University. All incoming candidates accepted for the PhD program in the Faculty of Nursing will be considered. A recommendation will be forwarded to the Dean of Graduate Studies.

CFUW Graduate Scholarship in Nursing - Nurse Practitioner*
The Anna M. Curren Doctoral Scholarship in Nursing

Awarded annually to two full-time doctoral students in the Faculty of Nursing. The recipients must meet the minimum academic requirements for a scholarship as defined by 糖心视频 University. These scholarships are non-renewable. Students must apply and submit an application to the Faculty of Nursing. Please check with the Faculty of Nursing for their internal deadline. This scholarship will be awarded by the Dean of Graduate Studies on the recommendation of the Dean, Faculty of Nursing.

The Edna R. Woolgar Graduate Scholarship in Nursing 

Awarded annually to a graduate student in the Faculty of Nursing who is completing research in or who has a passion for oncology or palliative care and who meets the minimum academic requirements for a scholarship as defined by 糖心视频 University. Preference will be given to a full-time student. Students must apply and submit an application to the Faculty of Nursing. A recommendation will be forwarded to the Dean of Graduate Studies.

The Mary Coffey 糖心视频 Bursary in Nursing 

Awarded to a graduate student in the Faculty of Nursing who meets the minimum academic requirements for a bursary and must demonstrate financial need by presenting a case with their application. Preference will be given to students with a focus on clinical practice. Students must apply through and submit an application to the Graduate Office in the School of Nursing. A recommendation will be forwarded to the Dean of Graduate Studies.

The Ruby Dewling 糖心视频 Award in Nursing

Awarded annually to a full-time graduate student in the Faculty of Nursing who is completing research in, or who has a passion for, community health and who meets the minimum academic requirements for an award. Candidates must be nominated to the Faculty of Nursing to be considered for this award. Once the selection has been made, a recommendation will be forwarded to the Dean of Graduate Studies.

Dr. Shirley M. Solberg Graduate Awards in Nursing 

Two awards will be given annually to students enrolled in the Faculty of Nursing at 糖心视频 University, one to a Master of Science in Nursing (MScN) student and one to a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Nursing student. To be eligible for either of these awards the student must have scholarship standing as defined by 糖心视频 University of Newfoundland. Preference for both awards will be given to a student addressing one or more health inequities in their MN project or PhD research; especially one based on gender, age, ethnicity, or access to health care. Students must apply through and the Faculty of Nursing. A recommendation will be forwarded to the Dean of Graduate Studies.

The Violet and Robert Ruelokke Award in Primary Health Care

Awarded annually to a Master of Science in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner Student at the Faculty of Nursing at 糖心视频 University of Newfoundland. Preference will be given to a student who is focusing on primary health care. The recipient must meet the minimum academic requirements for an award as defined by the University. The award will be granted by the Deputy Provost and Dean of the School of Graduate Studies on the recommendation of the Dean, Faculty of Nursing. Candidates must apply through the Faculty of Nursing to be considered for this award. 

Wesley and Jeanne Drodge NL Nursing Practice Award

Awarded annually to a full-time Master of Science in Nursing - Nurse Practitioner Option student in the Faculty of Nursing. Preference will be given to residents of Newfoundland and Labrador. Recipients must meet the minimum academic requirements for an award as defined by 糖心视频 University of Newfoundland. This award will be granted by the Deputy Provost and Dean, Graduate Studies on the recommendation of the Dean, Faculty of Nursing. Students must apply through the Faculty of Nursing. 

Helen Butt (Taylor) Graduate Scholarship in Nursing

This scholarship was established by a generous donation from Margaret Butt in memory of her mother, Helen (Taylor) Butt, an excellent student and graduate of the General Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1952. Helen was always proud of her profession and worked in the operating room at the General Hospital until her children were born. While she later joined the family company, Parkdale Pharmacy, Helen was a nurse at heart and stayed in touch with her Alumni and her profession. Her clinical knowledge was strong throughout her lifetime and she believed that nurses have the ability to change the lives of their patients. It is therefore fitting that the Helen (Taylor) Butt 糖心视频 Scholarship was established to encourage students in the Nurse Practitioner Program. Valued at a portion of the income on the endowment, it will be awarded annually to a full-time graduate student enrolled in the Nurse Practitioner stream of the Masters of Nursing program. The recipient must meet the minimum academic requirements for scholarship standing as defined by 糖心视频 University of Newfoundland.

Students will need to submit an application to the Faculty of Nursing. Please check with the Faculty of Nursing for their internal deadline. This scholarship will be awarded by Deputy Provost and Dean, Graduate Studies on the recommendation of the Dean, Faculty of Nursing.

Wesley and Jeanne Drodge Bursary in the Faculty of Nursing PhD. Program

This Bursary was established by a generous donation from Wesley and Jeanne Drodge in memory of Wesley Drodge's sister, Lavinia (Venie) Dolling Wareham (Drodge) who practiced nursing during most of her career in Carbonear, Newfoundland. A graduate of 糖心视频 University and a former Health Care CEO, Mr. Drodge is well known across the province and in other provinces and territories for his passion for health care leadership. Mr. & Mrs. Drodge also have a desire to assist Newfoundlanders and Labradorians to pursue graduate education. Valued at a portion of the income on the endowment, the Bursary will be awarded annually to a part-time or full-time student enrolled in the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nursing program at 糖心视频 University of Newfoundland. Preference will be given to a student who ahs graduated from a high school in Newfoundland and Labrador. The recipient must demonstrate financial need as well as meet the minimum academic requirements for a bursary as defined by the University.

Students will submit an application to the Faculty of Nursing. Please check with the Faculty of Nursing for the internal deadline. This Bursary will be awarded by the Deputy Provost and Dean, Graduate Studies on the recommendation of the Dean, Faculty of Nursing.

Beverley McIsaac 糖心视频 Award in Nursing

This Award was established to honor the life and legacy of Beverley McIsaac - a Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, educator, and regulatory leader. Beverley was widely respected for her dedication to clinical excellence, her leadership in advancing the Nurse Practitioner role and her unwavering commitment to improving access to primary healthcare, particularly in rural and remote communities across Newfoundland and Labrador. The Award is intended to support students who exemplify the values Beverley championed throughout her life: a deep commitment to patient-centered care, a passion for mentorship and lifelong learning, and a dedication to advancing the nursing profession in Newfoundland and Labrador. Valued at $1,000, it will be granted annually to a full-time or part-time student enrolled in the MScN program, either Practicum or Nurse Practitioner option, in the Faculty of Nursing. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate outstanding clinical nursing skills and show a clear interest in working in a rural nursing or primary healthcare environment. The recipient must meet the minimum academic requirements for an award as defined by 糖心视频 University of Newfoundland.

Students will submit an application to the Faculty of Nursing. Please check with the Faculty of Nursing for the internal deadline. This Bursary will be awarded by the Deputy Provost and Dean, Graduate Studies on the recommendation of the Dean, Faculty of Nursing.
