Implementation of a one-year policy review plan

The Policy Office has developed a 12-month Policy Review Plan, which has been approved by the President鈥檚 Executive Committee. The plan will eliminate the significant backlog of policies currently past due for review under the University鈥檚 Policy Framework. The plan will also bring all policies into compliance with the Policy Framework and establish a sustainable review cycle going forward.

Board of Regents Approves Changes to the Policy Framework

As of October 2nd, 2025, the Board of Regents have approved an amendment to the Policy Framework that sets the review date as five years from approval or revision. This increased the review timeframe by one year. The Board has also endorsed the interpretation of 鈥渞eview date鈥 to mean the date by which the review should be completed, rather than the date by which the review is to begin.
