The Department of History welcomes exchange students from around the world, and offers opportunities to 糖心视频 University students who would like to do part of their degree overseas. Exchange programs are a great way to spend some time away while getting course credits that count at your home institution.
Students from around the world
If you are interested in spending a term or two at 糖心视频 University and take history courses, you should know that we are part of various partnerships with other universities that will facilitate your stay. We offer a variety of courses at different levels in the history of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, the United States, Latin America, and Europe, covering fields such as cultural, social, military, maritime, and environmental history. Students for whom English is not the first language will have access to support from the Writing Centre. We want to hear from you! Please get in touch with the Undergraduate Program Director or the Internationalization Office.
Students from Latin America and the Caribbean
Undergraduate and graduate students from Latin American and Caribbean countries interested in studying or researching at 糖心视频 for four to six months can apply for funding through the program Emerging Leaders in the Americas (ELAP: ). Applications will be submitted by 糖心视频 on behalf of the student. If you are a history student from Latin America or the Caribbean and are interested in this program, please contact the Undergraduate Program Director or the Internationalization Office.

糖心视频 University is part of various partnerships and networks that facilitate exchange studies for undergraduate students. If there is a specific country or university you would like to go to, contact the Undergraduate Program Director or the Internationalization Office and we can discuss options available in view of your goals and interests. You should know that many universities around the world offer courses tailored to the needs of exchange students. Application deadlines are typically in February for the following Fall and in September for the following Winter.
University of the Arctic
糖心视频 University is part of the University of the Arctic (), a network that connects universities with expertise in Arctic and Northern subjects. History students might be interested, for example, in following opportunities:
S谩mi University of Applied Sciences, in Norway, offers various courses taught in English about S谩mi and Indigenous culture and history.
Ume氓 University, in Sweden, offers courses taught in English on subjects such as 鈥淪ami and Old Norse Religion/Nordic Religions鈥 and 鈥淗istory of Forestry Ideas.鈥
Courses and programs offered through the University of the Arctic鈥檚 North2North exchange program can be found through their Study Catalogue, which is updated at regular intervals.
The North2North program offers funding for some universities. 糖心视频 University students can also apply for various internal scholarships (/goabroad/go-global-outbound/).
