The Future Skills Innovation Network (FUSION) is a national cross-collaborative network of Canadian universities focused on exploring inclusive and innovative learning approaches to foster skill development and set students up for success at, and beyond, the postsecondary level. FUSION is oriented around a common set of goals:

• Develop skills that are critical for student success in the 21st-century labour market.
• Improve postsecondary outcomes for students from equity-deserving groups.
• Create more flexible, inclusive and equitable formats for accessing learning.

The FUSION program is a series of self-contained learning modules, each addressing a specific skill identified by the Government of Canada’s  model as in demand with today’s employers. These learning modules—Adaptability, AI Literacy, Collaboration, Communication, Constructive Dialogue, Creativity, Digital Literacy, Inclusivity, Innovation, Metacognition, Problem-Solving, Self-Management and Well-being—are interactive, online, asynchronous and self-directed. Each module takes about four hours to complete.
