Training available to support upgrade of Finance Self-Service

Training is available to support you through the Self-Service upgrade and users are encouraged to attend  relevant training sessions as you will need to learn the new way to run reports, access information, input information and more. Recordings of these sessions will also be made available.

As fiscal year end fast approaches it is important that all financial and accounting information is processed in a timely and efficient manner. Staples on St. John’s campus March 12

ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ’s office supply vendor Staples will be on the St. John’s campus on Tuesday, March 12. Joey Neale, ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ’s Staples Account Manager, will be on hand with other colleagues to share product knowledge and more information about Staples Professional, eway.ca with ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ’s staff and faculty. Samples and demonstrations will be available. More details for employees can be found here. As a reminder, paper is not included under ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ’s contract with Staples.

Changes to purchasing policy

ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ is amending the university’s purchasing policy to align the procurement thresholds with Public Procurement Regulations and is adapting the preferred approach when procuring a commodity below the procurement thresholds stated in the regulations.

St. John’s campus Cashier’s Office temporarily relocated

Due to ongoing work to correct damage from a water leak in the Arts and Administration building, the Cashier’s Office is temporarily moving to A1004A and will be open for in person service after 2 p.m. on Jan. 9.

Change of per diem rates for northern and international destinations

The Board of Regents, at a meeting held on Oct. 18, 2023, approved use of the Federal Treasury Board's National Joint Council travel allowances (appendix C) for .

NOVEMBER 4, 2020 - Procurement Threshold Change & Provincial Supplier Mandate

Updates to the Public Procurement Regulations

On Monday, June 1, the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador announced two amendments to the Public Procurement Regulations. One amendment is to mandate a provincial supplier preference provision. The other was an increase to the thresholds at which an open call is required.
