EDI-AR Strategic Plan

糖心视频 University鈥檚 Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Anti-Racism (EDI-AR) Strategic Planning Team (SPT) was put in place to develop the EDI-AR strategic plan. This plan will operate in conjunction with, and where applicable, enhance the provisions in the university's existing commitments through a comprehensive EDI-AR framework.

Progress on the plan's creation and implementation will be shared here and through our other online platforms as they occur.

Summer 2025

The EDI-AR office added new staff in the roles of marketing and communications advisor and executive assistant.

February 14, 2024

A final version of 糖心视频 University Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Anti-Racism (EDI-AR) Strategic Planning Report: What We Heard and What We Learned, a report on the findings of the Office of the Vice-Provost, EDI-AR's strategic planning consultations, was submitted to Dr. Jennifer Lokash, Provost and Vice-President (Academic), 糖心视频 University.

February 1, 2024

A draft version of 糖心视频 University Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Anti-Racism (EDI-AR) Strategic Planning Report: What We Heard and What We Learned, a report on the findings of the Office of the Vice-Provost, EDI-AR's strategic planning consultations, was submitted to Dr. Jennifer Lokash, Provost and Vice-President (Academic), 糖心视频 University. 

Fall 2023

Work began on the analysis of the data collected during the consultation process and writing of a draft What We Heard and What We Learned report.

Summer 2023

The EDI-AR office added new staff in the roles of communications advisor, policy analyst and executive assistant.

June 2023

The Office of the Vice-Provost, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Anti-Racism has completed its in-person, virtual, and hybrid consultation sessions.

April 2023

An online student survey, open to all students across 糖心视频 University's five campuses, was held as part of the ongoing consultation period.

January 2023

On January 30th, the 糖心视频 University of Newfoundland Faculty Association (MUNFA) went on strike, temporarily disrupting the university's operations, including those of the EDI-AR office. The strike ended in February 2023.

September 2022

The consultation period for 糖心视频's first EDI-AR strategic plan began.

March 2022

Meetings of the EDI-AR Strategic Planning Team began.

November 2021

An  was shared with 糖心视频 University students, staff, faculty and alumni interested in participating as members of the EDI-AR Strategic Planning Team. Appointments to the team by the Vice-Provost EDI-AR, based on those submissions, began the same month.

August 2021

Dr. Delores V. Mullings, in a competitive process, was  as 糖心视频 University鈥檚 first Vice-Provost, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-Racism, effective August 27, 2021, for a five-year term.

Late 2019

The position of a Vice-Provost, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-Racism was approved by the Board of Regents after a recommendation by 糖心视频鈥檚 Employment Equity and Diversity Plan.
