Teaching Development Days: Using Brightspace to Promote Student Engagement
CITL is pleased to host Teaching Development Days from May 5-7, 2026. Teaching Development Days is a professional learning event that supports 糖心视频's faculty and instructional staff in strengthening their teaching practice across all modes of course delivery.
Day 3 Theme: Delivery Modes and Engagement
This interactive workshop, Using Brightspace to Promote Student Engagement, will focus on Brightspace tools that foster meaningful student engagement. The session incorporates hands-on strategies that work in online, blended and face-to-face courses.
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Design course content in Brightspace that supports active learning and sustained student engagement.
- Apply Brightspace tools to enhance collaboration, interaction and community in online, blended and face-to-face courses.
- Use feedback and assessment strategies in Brightspace to support student learning in a meaningful way.
Some computers will be available for use in this session. However, participants are encouraged to bring their own devices.
This is a hybrid session (offered both online and in person in the Instructional Classroom in the QEII Library).
