Kori Andrea

Ph.D. Candidate

 Kori Andrea, chemistry graduate student

Kori completed her B.Sc. at Cape Breton University with a focus on functionalized nanoparticles for biomedical applications and pursued summer research in Germany via the DAAD RISE program. She received an  scholarship to pursue her research in the Kerton group and the prestigious for her doctoral studies.

She is developing new catalysts for the transformation of carbon dioxide into organic molecules and polymers. In her free time, Kori enjoys travelling and playing sports.

Ernest Awoonor-Williams

 Ernest Awoonor-Williams, PhD candidate in chemistry

Ernest completed his B.Sc. (Hons) at Mount Allison University in New Brunswick, Canada. He joined the Rowley computational chemistry group in 2014. He is using computer simulations to aid the development of a new type of anti-cancer drugs.

Azam Sayadi

Ph.D. Candidate 

 Azam Sayadi

Azam completed her B.Sc. and my M.Sc. in Bu-Ali- Sina University of Hamedan, Iran. In September 2015, she joined Professor Peter Pickup’s research group at ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ University. She is currently working on developing reliable and easy methodologies for evaluation of catalytic electrooxidation of organic fuels. She enjoys painting, hiking and cooking in my free time.

Farshid Shahrokhi

Ph.D. Candidate Yuming Zhao Group 

  Farshid Shahrokhi

Farshid completed his M.Sc. at Mazandaran University, Babolsar, Iran. He joined Yuming Zhao’s research group at ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ University of Newfoundland in September 2016. Farshid is currently working on the synthesis of new dendritic DTFs and TTFVs as a sensor for detecting nitroaromatics. Farshid enjoys traveling, fishing, swimming, and hiking. His hometown is Tehran, Iran.
