A number of events were organised by MUN algebraists in cooperation with their colleagues even before the creation of AAC.

A Summer 1999 CMS symposium “” was organized by Eric Jespers (Brussels) and Edgar Goodaire (������Ƶ University).

From May 28 – June 1, 2001 we held the International Conference “” (Organisers: Yuri Bahturin, Edgar Goodaire, Mike Parmenter, and Yiqiang Zhou, all from ������Ƶ University). The volume of Proceedings of this conference appeared in Kluwer in 2002. Some pictures from that conference can be found
From August 29 – September 3, 2002 we held an International Workshop “”(Organisers: Yuri Bahturin, Antonio Giambruno (University of Palermo, Italy), Amitai Regev (Weizmann Institute, Israel) and Mikhail Zaicev (Moscow University, Russia)). See some conference pictures .

On October 19 and 20, 2002, an AARMS Special Session on Ring Theory was held at Mount Allison University as part of APICS Conference (Organisers: Margaret Beattie (Mount Allison University), Mike Parmenter (������Ƶ University) and Richard Wood (Dalhousie University)).

From August 30 – September 4, 2003 we held an International Workshop (Organisers: Yuri Bahturin , Georgia Benkart (University of Wisconsin-Madison), Ivan Penkov (UC Riverside), Helmut Strade (Hamburg University), Alexander Zalesskii (University of East Anglia)) at the Banff International Research Centre.

From June 12 – June 15, 2004, we organised a Workshop/Core Session of 2004 Summer Meeting of Canadian Mathematical Society “”.(Organisers: Yuri Bahturin, Margaret Beattie (Mount Allison University), Luzius Grunenfelder (Dalhousie University), Susan Montgomery (University of Southern California), Earl Taft (Rutgers University)).

For four week periods during the summers of 2002, 2003, and 2004 Edgar Goodaire organised AARMS Summer Schools. Read about AARMS Summer Schools .

On August 13-17, 2007, we held the International Workshop " Groups, Rings, Lie and Hopf Algebras II". The preparation of the workshop and its work were greatly facilitated by the Station Manager Ms Fiona Cuthbert. A lot of work was done by the staff of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics (Departmental Head Dr Chris Radford), with the most invaluable contribution by Ms Ros English. From AAC, the organizational work was done by the AAC Coordinator Dr Yuri Bahturin, Drs Mikhail Kochetov and Mike Parmenter, with the help of our Postdoctoral Fellow Dr Marina Tvalavadze, Ph D student Jason McGraw and SWASP student Brad Dart.

On August 29 - September 2, 2008, we held the International Workshop " Graded Algebras and Superalgebras". The organizational work was done by the AAC Coordinator Dr Yuri Bahturin, Drs Mikhail Kochetov, Mike Parmenter, and Yiqiang Zhou, with the help of Ph D student Jason McGraw and USRA student Andrew Stewart. The sixth annual meeting of from January 16-18, 2009 was organised by Yuri Bahturin (������Ƶ University), Nantel Bergeron (York University), Sara Faridi (Dalhousie University), Tony Geramita (Queen's University and University of Genoa), Mikhail Kotchetov (������Ƶ University).
