Mapping a network drive in Windows

  1. Open 鈥淔ile explorer鈥 by searching for it in the search bar on Windows or clicking the icon in your task bar.
    or
  2.  Once in File Explorer, right click on 鈥淭his PC鈥 then click 鈥淢ap network drive鈥 from the drop down list.
  3. A new window will open. From the 鈥淒rive鈥 drop down, you can select the desired drive letter you would like for the share or you can leave it as the default. From the 鈥淔older鈥 drop down, type in the server name and share name. Ex: \\servername\sharename

  4. The 2 check boxes are usually fine by default
  5. Click 鈥淔inish鈥 once everything is entered correctly and the share will open up.
