National Day of Mourning

April 28th marks Canada's National Day of Mourning. This solemn occasion commemorates workers who have been killed, injured or who have suffered illness due to workplace-related hazards and incidents.

In 2015, 24 workers in Newfoundland and Labrador died as a result of workplace injury or illness.

糖心视频 University鈥檚 flags will be flown at half-mast from sunrise to sunset on April 28th to mark the Day of Mourning for Persons Killed or Injured in the Workplace.
SafetyNet hopes that the annual observance of this day will strengthen the resolve to promote research, share knowledge and awareness, and promote regional capacity to ensure safe conditions in the workplace, and prevent injuries and deaths.
