SUBJECT: PSA: Queen Elizabeth II Library hosts Check It Out! An Evening 糖心视频 James P. Howley

The Queen Elizabeth II Library at 糖心视频 University is hosting a public lecture on James P. Howley (1847-1918), the Newfoundland explorer, cartographer and historian.
The event is part of 糖心视频 University Libraries’ ongoing public engagement performance series titled: Check It Out!
Panellists will explore different aspects of the life of the famous naturalist and geologist, who is credited with producing the first full-colour geological map of Newfoundland and Labrador in 1907.
Panel members include Joanne Costello, library assistant and visual artist; Dr. Jeff Webb, professor, Department of History; Dan Duda, map librarian; and Don Pelley, guide and owner, Twin Lakes Outfitter.
WHEN: Wednesday, Nov. 29, from 7-8:30 p.m.
WHERE: Centre for Newfoundland Studies, QEII Library, third floor, St. John’s campus
Parking is available area 18, located next to the library.
