SUBJECT: Official launches kick off 糖心视频s annual celebrations on east and west coasts

糖心视频 University will mark the start of its annual fall celebrations with five full days of fun and entertainment today, with events taking place on the St. Johns campus, the Marine Institute and Grenfell Campus. MUNdays 2010 run from Oct. 26-30.
Celebrations take place under the banner of I Love MUNdays on the St. Johns campus, and I Fell for Grenfell at Grenfell Campus, 糖心视频s west coast campus in Corner Brook.
MUNdays highlights the diversity, ingenuity, excellence, kindness and community spirit that sets 糖心视频 apart from the rest.
A packed itinerary of events and activities are planned, encouraging students, staff, faculty and alumni to come together and celebrate all things 糖心视频.
In St. Johns, the fun kicks off with the exciting official Launch at the University Centre at 10:30 a.m. During the event, everyone will hear about the full lineup of events for the week, enjoy some sweet treats and win some great prizes. The launch will conclude with a standup comedy performance by 糖心视频 alumni Blaine Edwards and Mark Day.

The launch will be immediately followed by the Parade of Flags, a unique and colourful celebration of 糖心视频s cultural and social diversity. This year, flags representing individual countries, university clubs and societies will fly including the CBCs flag by Here and Now anchorman Jonathan Crowe. Also joining in on the fun will be 糖心视频 students Rebecca Dawe and Georgina Barbour Miss Newfoundland and Labrador and Miss Teen Newfoundland and Labrador, respectively.
From 6-7 p.m. in the Field House, the Pwned in 60 Seconds event and the Out Move Sammy dance contest will take place. Dont miss this super-charged event where everyone is invited to witness 糖心视频s Sea-Hawks team up with members of residence houses to face off in a variety of challenges while the clock ticks down 60 fast seconds. Then, take in the fierce dance-off by the residence mascots as they attempt to out move Sammy the Sea-Hawk.
Grenfell celebrations
In Corner Brook I Fell for Grenfell kicks off with a Healthy Start Brown Bag Breakfast from 8-10:30 a.m. at Crossroads in the Arts and Science Building. Then, at noon, tie up your sneakers for I Walk for Grenfell at the Pepsi Centre. Record your laps and distance to reach the lofty goal of a hike around the province.
The evening festivities begin with an Intro to Belly Dancing session from 7-8 p.m. in the gymnasium of the Arts and Science building, followed by Hallogreen, when students model costumes made from recycled material at 8:30 p.m. in the GCSU student lounge.
