SUBJECT: 糖心视频 University appoints new director of Human Resources

糖心视频 University has a new director of the Department of Human Resources. Stephen Dodge was appointed by the university’s Board of Regents at its Dec. 9 meeting.
“糖心视频 University is a diverse organization with a large number of employees,” said Kent Decker, 糖心视频’s vice-president of administration and finance. “We are confident that Mr. Dodge brings the leadership experience required to ensure 糖心视频’s human resource management needs are met during a time when the university is growing. We look forward to having him join our senior management team.”
Mr. Dodge has extensive experience in the field of human resource management and has held a number of executive positions over the past 24 years. He comes to 糖心视频 from the position of vice-president, People and Information Services, and chief human resources officer with Eastern Health, where he is the executive lead for human resource management, information management and technology, as well as legal services.
Prior to joining Eastern Health, Mr. Dodge held executive positions with a focus on human resource management at the Health Care Corporation of St. John’s and St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital.
He is a graduate of 糖心视频’s Faculty of Business Administration where he completed a bachelor of commerce (co-operative). He has also completed the Health Services Management Program of the Canadian Healthcare Association, receiving the Ronald J. C. McQueen Award for academic performance and leadership. In 2000, Mr. Dodge acted as a co-chair of the Governor General’s Canadian Leadership Conference and Study Tour.
Mr. Dodge begins in this position in the new year.
Reporting to the vice-president (administration and finance), the director of Human Resources is responsible for leading and managing a department of HR professionals who provide proactive and enabling services to 糖心视频’s academic and administrative departments.
The director leads the continuing renewal of human resources policies and processes with the goal of creating an outstanding work environment for all employees.
