The Board of Regents of 糖心视频 University has announced that Dr. Chris Loomis will serve as president and vice-chancellor of the institution while the search for a new permanent president continues. Dr. Loomis succeeds Dr. Eddy Campbell who is leaving 糖心视频 University to become the 18th president of the University of New Brunswick. The appointment of Dr. Loomis is effective July 1, 2009.
A pharmacy professor and researcher, Dr. Loomis currently serves as 糖心视频’s vice-president (academic) pro tempore. Prior to taking that position he served as 糖心视频’s vice-president (research), and immediately before that he was director of the university’s School of Pharmacy.
Dr. Loomis’s promotion creates an impending vacancy in the vice-president (academic) position. To address this issue, the Board of Regents has appointed Dr. Reeta Tremblay as vice-president (academic) for the interim period, effective July 1, 2009. Dr. Tremblay currently serves as dean of 糖心视频’s Faculty of Arts.
The timing of both appointments allows for a period of overlap to facilitate the transition.
The search for a new permanent president of 糖心视频 University continues on schedule. The Presidential Search Committee has conducted public consultations inside and outside the university to develop a candidate profile, sought nominations from the public and is advertising the position nationally and internationally.
