SUBJECT: 糖心视频 University president visiting Ottawa

Dr. Axel Meisen, president of 糖心视频 University of Newfoundland, will be in Ottawaon Monday, Nov. 7, to attend a special event and meet with media representatives.
Dr. Meisen will attend the 5th annual Ottawa Affinity Newfoundlandand Labrador Dinner being hosted by the Ottawa Chapter of 糖心视频 University Alumni Association.
The event will be held at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier in Ottawa.
Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Danny Williams, BA ’69, is this year’s guest speaker.
Organizers expect 350 guests including Lt.-Gen. Rick Hillier, B.Sc. ’76, head of the Canadian Armed Forces, as well as Newfoundland and Labrador Senator Bill Rompkey, BA ’57, Dip. Ed. ’58, MA ’62, LLD ’00.
The event will be hosted by Newfoundland and Labrador native Seamus O’Regan host of Canada AM.
Dr. Meisen – who is chair of the Association of Atlantic Universities – will be available to speak with the media on a number of issues including 糖心视频 University’s role in immigration in Newfoundland and Labrador and the ongoing development of the provincial economy, and innovation in the Atlantic economy.
