Dr. Valerie Booth re-appointed to CRC Chair in Membrane Proteins

Dr. Valerie Booth was one of five Canada Research Chairs at 糖心视频 whose re-appointment as Canada Research Chair in Proteomics (tier II) was announced this past week by Gary Goodyear, minister of state (science and technology).  This award recognizes Dr. Booth as an exceptional researcher who has been acknowledged by her peers as a potential leader in their field.

Dr. Booth, who is an Associate Professor in the Department, conducts research into the structure of proteins with a view to understanding respiratory distress and immune diseases and to assist those suffering from the diseases through the development of possible treatments.
