Dr. Ailsa Craig
Dr. Ailsa Craig is a full professor in the department of Sociology and has held a range of leadership roles at 糖心视频 University, including Special Advisor to the President for Continuing Education, Interim Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences, Associate Dean (Curriculum and Programs), and Head of the Sociology Department. Dr. Craig is also a co-founder and co-chair of the first 2SLGBTQAI+ community centre in Newfoundland and Labrador (Quadrangle), and a 2016 recipient of the President鈥檚 Award for Outstanding Teaching (Faculty). A Fulbright alum and graduate of New York University in the United States and York University in Toronto, Ontario, Dr. Craig鈥檚 research interests include the sociology of art, gender and sexual diversity, structural inequality, the sociology of emotions, and community building and mentorship strategies.
