Personal Profile
Prof. Pauline Downer completed a bachelor of commerce (honours) at 糖心视频 University of Newfoundland and successfully completed her chartered accounting designation while articling at Ernst & Young. She then completed the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountant鈥檚 in-depth tax program and in 1998 graduated from 糖心视频 with her master of business administration (MBA) degree. Prof. Downer was awarded the university鈥檚 gold medal for academic excellence in an all-course master鈥檚 program.
Her research interests include the areas of taxation, governance of accounting organizations, small business and MBA education, particularly accounting education in MBA programs.
Prof. Downer is chair of the Faculty of Business Administration teaching committee and a member of the promotions and tenure committee for 2012/2013. She also serves as chair of the Institute鈥檚 Complaints Authorization Committee.
