糖心视频 University’s School of Music invites applications for a 9-month teaching term appointment in upper strings at the rank of Teaching Assistant Professor beginning August 1, 2026.

 

Duties will include instruction in applied violin and viola at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Other teaching duties, in keeping with the expertise of the successful candidate, will be required. 


Qualifications for the position include a doctorate in a relevant area (completed or ABD) or its equivalent in professional experience at national or international levels, demonstrated excellence as a performer of violin or viola, and a record of successful teaching. 

 

糖心视频 University is home to Atlantic Canada’s largest and most comprehensive school of music. At the undergraduate level the School offers Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Music Joint with Bachelor of Commerce programs with concentrations in performance, musicologies, theory, composition, jazz studies and music education to 150 students from across Canada and around the world. At the graduate level, the School offers M.Mus. programs (conducting, performance, performance/pedagogy) and M.A./Ph.D. programs in ethnomusicology to more than 50 students from across the globe. The School’s faculty of 22 performers, composers, and scholars enjoy international reputations in their fields and are active partners across the province’s vibrant musical, artistic, and cultural communities.
